25 Years of Serving the Sindhi’s of Toronto
Mukesh Ramchandani, Vice President
The Sindhi Cultural Association of Toronto (S.C.A.T) is a cultural organization, directed towards developing and promoting the Sindhi cultural and religious heritage throughout the Greater Toronto Area. As famously stated by William James “The community stagnates without the impulse of the individual. The impulse dies away without the sympathy of the community”. Following the words of the great American philosopher, S.C.A.T has worked to support the community by working with and for them.
S.C.A.T was developed 25 years ago to maintain a continued promise; to build and support the Sindhi community. We have continuously worked to preserve and promote the constructive evolution of all members across the region. We engage a variety of age groups and continuously encourage all kids, youth and seniors to participate in our numerous community activities. This has been possible due to the hard work put in by its initiators, executives and societal members.
As the years have gone by, we have seen our efforts prosper through the wide involvement and support received from the community. S.C.A.T has surpassed its initial views of acting as an organization and has grown to become a strong community which acts as a family, encompassed of all its participants. A welcoming place, which feels like home!
